The news was confirmed by the Foreign Ministry, which formed an emergency task force late on January 27 to evaluate the situation.
More than 23kg of herion was confiscated at Kapitan Andreevo (in the municipality of Svilengrad in southern Bulgaria) during a meticulous search by frontier police. The drugs were apprehended from a vehicle with a Dutch registration travelling from Turkey to Holland.
