The European Investment Bank (EIB) had approved a loan for the construction of five out of six overhead passes planned in Bulgaria's capital, Sofia mayor Boiko Borissov said on July 1 2009.
The approved projects included double-level crossings at P.K. Yavorov and Dragan Tsankov boulevards near the old television tower, Geshov and Bulgaria boulevards, the Geshov Boulevard and Georgi Sofiyski Street, the Stoyan Mihailovski Street and Yavorov Boulevard and the crossing at Lyapchev and Saharov boulevards, deputy-mayor Alexander Tsvetkov said.
Tsvetkov did not specify the size of the loan given by the EIB.
