A group of 13 women filed a complaint for discrimination and sexual harassment against Peshtera over two television ads for its Mastika alcoholic drinks.

According to the women, the advertisements under the titles Crystal Fear and Melon Season are "deeply offensive", Bulgarian news agency BTA said.

The women said the advertisement violated European laws on sexual equality. In their view, the advertisement constituted sexual harassment because it was offensive and created an "offensive environment for them and for the majority of women," BTA quoted a media statement from the Commission for Protection against Discrimination (CPD) as saying.
