Nasko Sirakov, director of the national football team, was allegedly 'certain' to join Litex Lovech at the beginning of the new season. Several media outlets had linked the former Bulgarian international and Levski Sofia legend with a move to the northern club, saying his departure there was imminent.

In an interview to Darik Radio, however, as quoted by the Focus news agency, Sirakov has categorically denied any speculation that he might be joining his former Levski Sofia colleague, Stanimir Stoilov, at Litex Lovech.

Regarding the rumours that he was earmarked for the managerial post, Sirakov said.

"I have no idea where the media are sending me exactly, but I can assure you, I am not joining any football club at the moment, as I have obligations with the national team," he said as quoted by Focus.

"And to dispel any further speculation, I can tell you that whatever happens in the future, I will certainly not be going to Lovech," he said.

Meanwhile, his former club Levski Sofia have announced that their summer preparation will commence on June 19 at Gerena Stadium. Friendly matches are yet to be announced on the club's official website.
