A three-day festival in September 2009 will show reconstructions of Thracian rituals, Roman customs and rituals, alongside an international scientific conference.
The festival had secured the support of the Italian embassy to Bulgaria, Stoyan Prodanov, head of the Tourism Board in [[map:Svishtov|Svishtov, Bulgaria|]] was quoted as saying by Focus news agency.
This would be the second festival of its kind in the north-Bulgarian town of Svishtov. The first festival, in June 2008 under the title The Eagle of the Danube, drew over 20 000 visitors to the town.
The aim of the festival was to present the ancient heritage of the region of Svishtov, Prodanov said.
The festival would take place from September 18 to 20, 2009.
