"The young people who will be patrolling the internet, have my full support," Interior Minister Roumen Petkov said in Varna on October 23 2007.
Petkov said he has complete faith in the youths, Focus news agency said.
The youths show a special involvement in working with law enforcement agencies in their fight for a cleaner internet, he said.
"It is not by accident that I have already referred to them as Bulgaria's men," Petkov said.
Interior Ministry officials said on October 22 that students from the John Atanassov High School in Sofia would be helping the ministry in its fight against cyber crime in Bulgaria.
The John Atanassov High School in Sofia is an electro-technical high school, who's name-giver, American born of Bulgarian descent John Atanassov, built the Atanassov-Berry computer together with Cliffort Berry. The machine is considered to be the first electronic digital computing device ever built and a prototype of today's computers.
