For a six year running, the Rila Mountain would be shaken by the Rock in Rila fest on August 30. As usual, the event will take place in the village of Beli Iskur, near the mountain resort of Borovets. It will all begin at 6pm.

This year, the fest is dedicated to the young and unknown Bulgarian bands, which are to be promoted to a broader audience. Some of the bands to take part in the forum are Реванш (Revanche), Fallen Angels and Зона (Zona). Special guests of Rock in Rila 2008 are Mitko Shterev and Iliya Angelov.

Camping is available near the village for the rock fans. Accommodations can be booked at 0712/ 27232 between 11 am and 6pm. Entrance to the fest and pitching a tent is free of charge.

Through the years, Rock in Rila had presented to the fans some of Bulgaria's most prominent rock musicians, such as Shturtsite, Signal, BTR and Vasko Krupkata. As early as at its first edition, the forum managed to gather more than 5000 fans from all over the country.
