Williams to win the title at Wimbledon
22:31 Thu 03 Jul 2008 - Petar Kostadinov

Serena and Venus Williams will decide among them who will be this year's winner at Wimbledon, after the two sisters won their respective semi-finals on July 3 2008.

For Venus Williams this will be her seventh Wimbledon final (four won, including last year's one) in just nine years. To get there she had to go through Russia's Elena Dementieva. She won in straight sets, but after making a quickfire start, she surprisingly struggled to wrap up the win.

Fifth-seed Dementieva tried to put a resistance to Venus and to some extent she managed to challenge her supremacy.

The first set was entirely dominated by Venus but Dementieva almost made a break in the second one. Venus pulled herself together and won the set and the match (6-1, 7-6).

Two-time Wimbledon champion Serena Williamas did not disappoint either. She won her match against the surprise of the tournament China's Jie Zheng (6-2, 7-6). It will be the third all Williams final at Wimbledon and seventh Grand Slam one.

The last time when they met at a Grand Slam final was at Wimbledon in 2003 when Serena won against her older sister.  It is also Serena who holds an 8-7 career edge over her sister.  Serena also holds the 5-1 edge in Grand Slam finals.
