If you are thinking of spending a quiet evening on Friday, don't. It is not every day that Molotov and Eliane Elias perform in Sofia, as they will on April 11 2008.
Molotov comes to Bulgaria to celebrate the second anniversary of Tangra Mega Rock Radio. Local bands Svetlio & The Legends and Babyface Clan will join the Mexicans on the stage of Hristo Botev Hall in Studentski Crad. The show starts at 8pm.
Molotov promised to play 25-30 songs, mainly from their first album, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.
Molotov are a double Latino Grammy award winners, who have played with Metallica, David Bowie, R.E.M., Marilyn Manson and Hole.
Jazz music fans will probably prefer the gig of Brazilian jazz diva Eliane Elias in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture. The show starts at 7.30pm and is part of the spring edition of the international Sofia Jazz Peak Festival.
Elias, who has recorded 19 solo albums, will present her last album Something for You: Eliane Elias Sings and Plays Bill Evans.
Whichever concert you chose to attend, you will not be making a mistake. There has not been such a Friday evening for a long time in this town.
