Here is independence day for rock fans on July 4, for old-time rock dinosaurs are about to roar at Akademik stadium in Sofia at 7pm. For the first time in their music career, British bands Whitesnake and Def Leppard are joining for a world tour titled Let's Get Rocked...In The Still of the Night!

The tour started at end of June in Belgium, and it will continue with 40 more venues throughout Europe, North America and Asia.

The bands are coming to Sofia thanks to Sofia Music Enterprises and Tuborg. The latter initiated the campaign Don't Drink and Drive, and for the convenience of the fans going to the concert, Tuborg is providing a double-decker bus. From 4pm until 20 pm the bus will transport fans, departing from the parking lot of Alexander Nevski cathedral to the stadium. After the concert, the exercise will be repeated the other way around.

To accommodate the wild act, the stage is expected to be 30m long and 20m wide. More than 150 Bulgarian and 80 'imported' technicians have been engaged to service the stage sound and lighting.

For safety purposes 300 security guard are hired and no cameras, recording devices, glass bottles, flammable objects, unfoldable umbrellas, and flash lights are not allowed inside the stadium.
