About 600 small towns and villages in Bulgaria have water shortages, Bulgaria’s Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Dimcho Mihalevski said.
Shortages were severest in Turgovishte, Razgrad, Shoumen, Lovech, Gabrovo and Bourgas, according to Focus news agency.
Mihalevski said that if the dry weather continued, incidents of water shortage may reach 800.
According to Mihalevski, larger towns and cities are not endangered from water shortages yet.
