A seminar on the European requirements and technologies in waste management and soil recovery and their application in Bulgaria and the UK would be held on November 9 in Sofia, Bulgarian News Agency BTA reported.

The forum was organised by the British embassy with the participation of the Environment and Water Affairs Ministry, representatives of the embassy announced.

The seminar's points of discussion will be UK experience in the area, modernisation of waste management, manufacturers' liability and methods for stable economic manufacturing.

Materials used in the waste depot construction will be presented along with recycled products export opportunities.

The seminar will discuss modern methods for information servicing, innovative contaminated soil recovery technologies, eco-toxicity of water and soil studies as well as risk-based assessments of depots and contaminated objects.
