Weather conditions are unsuitable for skiing in Pamporovo winter resort.
Temperatures reached four degrees Celsius in the morning and the sun was melting the thin snow cover, Bulgarian Mountain Rescue Service (BMRS) told Focus news agency reported.
Some of the ski tracks featured snowless spots, regardless of attempts of resort administration to maintain the tracks covered with artificial snow.
All lifts were functioning and the conditions were more suitable for tourism activities other than skiing, Focus said.
BMRS said that tourist should follow only the marked paths and bring mobile phones having well- charged batteries.
All of Bulgaria's leading winter resorts opened the season lacking snow. Representatives of Bansko resort said that skiing conditions would be maintained through the use of artificial snow machines.
Pamporovo is the resort affected most heavily by the warm weather.
