VMRO hasd been supporting Borissov and his party for a long time but no decision had been made yet on the way in which VMRO would appear at the elections, VMRO’s leader Krassimir Karakachanov said, as quoted by Focus news agency.
Local VMRO and GERB structures in Kurdjali have been also discussing the joint candidature of Stefan Chanev.
VMRO and GERB have had a good relationship since Borissov's first candidature for the position of mayor of Sofia, Karakachanov said. The relationship between the two parties deepened during the elections for members of the European parliament, when VMRO supported GERB’s candidate list.
The two parties have also signed a co-operation agreement for a joint candidature in Plovdiv.
