The US House of Representatives is to examine a proposal for the extension of the US visa-free regime.
Countries, which aid the US in the fight against terrorism could be included in the visa-free regime, Darik Radio reported.
The proposal does not name specific countries but Czech and Slovakian media reported the two countries were probably among them.
US president George Bush previously named 13 countries to have visa-free relations with the US. Bulgaria and Romania feature among these countries together with Greece.
Sources said that such regime would probably be granted to no more than five countries.
Citizens of the new EU member states, among which Bulgaria and Romania, need visas to visit the US. At the same time American citizens are guaranteed visa-free entry to these countries.
