A committee of the National Institute for Conciliation and Arbitration will determine the minimum duties the medics at the Pirogov emergency centre have to carry out in case of strike.
The medics want higher salaries and better equipment. They already launched protests and are about to start a strike once the list of the minimum duties is ready and signed by Pirogov director Spas Spaskov.
According to the medics, patients will have to be re-located to other hospitals.
Nearly eight million leva were needed for the raise in the salaries in 2007, the medics calculated.
Disaster Management Ministry could provide part of the money, because Pirogov medics are obligated to provide 24/7 medical aid in case of disaster, medics said as quoted by mediapool.bg.
Education Ministry could also provide money for salaries, because the Pirogov medics instruct students.
The medics said that if their protests lack any result, they will all resign.
