European Parliament rapporteur for Bulgaria Geoffrey Van Orden would present the most critical report on Bulgaria issued so far, Bulgarian EP observer Maria Kapon said.
Parts of the report, quoted a few days ago, showed that according to Van Orden Bulgaria still had to work on reforms in justice and the fight against organised crime and corruption, mediapool.bg reported.
Van Orden will warn of the risk related to Bulgaria’s energy security when the country closes two blocks of its Kozloduy nuclear power plant.
The trial of the five Bulgarian nurses accused of deliberate HIV infection in Libya was also mentioned in the report, mediapool.bg said. EU could demand the payment of compensation to the Bulgarians for the unjust treatment, the report said.
