The import of used cars grew much faster than the import of new cars in 2007.
Import of used cars doubled on-the-year to 349 000 units, registration data from the road police showed.
Used cars make up for about 85 per cent of the total import of cars in Bulgaria, Intellinews said.
The association of automobile dealers had reported that import of new vehicles in 2007 grew by 22 per cent to 62 000 units, of which 52 000 were registered as passenger cars, Intellinews said.
