The US would be a key alley of Bulgaria and India in deepening the partnership between the two countries, US congressman Joe Wilson said in his speech before the US Congress House of Representatives.
Wilson is co-chair of the Republican party of the Congressional Bulgaria Caucus, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.
Wilson said that the recent visit of Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev to India was a continuation of the economic relations, which the two countries improved by widening their trade and investment capability.
He emphasised the increasing development of the “relations between the two democracies,” Focus news agency said.
As a EU and NATO member, Bulgaria is a US alley and the US had a key position, which would allow it to deepen the co-operation of the two countries with US alleys all around the world, Wilson said.
