Interest among US investors in Bulgaria was growing, US ambassador to Bulgaria John Beyrle said, as quoted by Bulgarian news agency BTA.
US investments in Bulgaria would be double in 2006 compared to the investments in 2005, Beyrle said.
He was on a visit to the Rousse region. He wanted Rousse and the Rousse region to attract future US investments, he said.
The US had supported Bulgaria’s EU accession from the very beginning of the process, according to Beyrle.
Bulgaria was a model for European for ehtnic tolerance, he said, as quoted by BTA.
