With the Democratic Party having named its official candidate for the United States presidential elections in Barack Obama, with Joe Biden as running mate, and the Republican Party expected to confirm John McCain as its presidential candidate with Sarah Palin as vice president later in the week of September 1, the time to vote is quick approaching.
Americans will head to the polls on November 4 2008 for the 56th presidential elections, a vote that many hope will bring change to the nation.
Voting when living in the States is clear: head to the polling station of your precinct, and cast your ballot. Living abroad, though, the task is not as straightforward. Luckily, US citizens living outside the US can still vote, via an absentee ballot.
The Sofia Echo has compiled information to help you vote no matter where you live, be in it Bulgaria or Bali. For more information, also visit the Federal Voting Assistance Program’s website. And vote!
