Starting June 26, Podkrepa and KNSB labour unions will negotiate with the Health Ministry the provision of funding for Pirogov emergency institute.
A representative of each Pirogov division will present the problems of the unit during the meeting, strike committee head Krustuy Penchev said.
Pirogov medics have already been protesting for a long time in demand of higher wages and better working conditions.
Strike committee spokesperson Svetlozar Sardovski said that since 2001, Bulgarian healthcare has been underfinanced.
Bulgarian Medical Union (BMU) will also take part in the talks.
Penchev said that he hoped the protests would end the coming week. “I hope that authorities in Bulgaria will not risk the lives of people,” Penchev said.
