Representatives of Bulgarian Defence Industry Association (BDIA) and The UK Defence Manufacturers Association signed a memorandum of understanding in the defence industry.
The signing of the document took place during a forum on Bulgarian-British defence industry co-operation held in the Central Military Club in Sofia.
Co-chairmen of BDIA Stefan Vodenicharov and Nikolai Ibushev said that they hoped the agreement will stimulate Bulgarian defence production and the participation in various projects.
Bulgarian defence industry has much to offer to the European defence market, Deputy Defence Minister Simeon Nikolov told forum participants.
UK Ambassador to Bulgaria Jeremy Hill said as quoted by Bulgarian National Radio that Bulgaria could be a reliable partner in the fight against global terrorism.
