Nearly 64.3 per cent of the Bulgarians employees get socially securities based on their entire sum, Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA) said.

BIA poll, on which the results are based, involved 1000 people in 80 towns, Dnevnik daily reported.

Nearly 17.8 per cent of the people polled said that they receive partial social securities, 4.2 per cent said they did not know whether they have social security. Another 13.7 per cent lack social securities.

Almost 80 per cent of the polled participants having university education get social salaries. Nearly 35.9 per cent of the people with elementary education said that they receive full securities.

Asked if they will inform authorities of social security irregularities 26 per cent of the people said no and 30.2 per cent had no opinion on the issue.

People aged 30 to 49 turned out to be most willing to signal. People aged 18 to 29 prefer to keep the information to themselves.

Companies provide partial social securities to make profit, the poll said.

A number of employees do not believe that their social security installments will provide adequate pensions in future.
