Pirogov emergency institute vice director Ognian Hadzhiiski submitted his resignation request on June 22.
Hadzhiiski’s decision follows the resignation of board of directors member Dimitar Radenovski.
The entire hospital management has gathered to discuss whether to resign.
Meanwhile a group of the protesting medics from the institute tried to enter the office of Pirogov director Spas Spaskov.
Policemen entered the building but medics asked them to refrain from action, since no one was going to use violence.
Medics from the institute have long been protesting in demand of higher wages and better working conditions.
The medics planned to strike but Spaskov refused to sign the documents needed and the procedure was slowed down.
According to protesters, Health Minister Radoslav Gaidarski would not demand the resignation of the board of directors, since all of its members were taking care of their duties.
