TUMBLEWEED APPOINTS NEW GM FOR BULGARIA

Tumbleweed Communications announced the appointment of Rich Bowman as the new general manager of its Bulgarian subsidiary, Computer World magazine said on October 23.

Bowman took over as head of Tumbleweed Bulgaria in addition to his current position of vice president of the company's Global Support division. For his new appointment, Bowman had moved from his office in Redwood City, California to the Bulgarian headquarters of Tumbleweed in Sofia, Computer World said.

Bowman took over the management of Tumbleweed Bulgaria with 25 years of managerial experience. Before joining Tumbleweed in 2005, he served as global customer service vice president at KANA Software and Witness Systems. Bowman had previously been employed as head of electronic security and data protection at Chevron Corporation. The new general manager of Tumbleweed Bulgaria had an MBA from the West Texas A&M University.
