Bulgaria’s governance will be in the form of a ruling tripartite coalition, even if the country decides to hold preliminary elections, Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev said.
Stanishev took part in a press conference in Rome, during the international meeting of Bulgarian media held there.
The ruling coalition won 10 places in the European Parliament in Bulgaria’s first members of EP (MEP) elections, Stanishev said. This represents more than 55 per cent support for the three parties in the coalition.
Bulgaria changed radically and its membership is well-deserved, Stanishev said. Annual economic growth exceeds five per cent and unemployment is decreasing, he said.
Stanishev asked Bulgarians living abroad to return to the country since society and Bulgaria’s economy need them.
