Criminal court in Tripoli postponed again the trial of the Bulgarian nurses accused of deliberate HIV infection, Darik Radio reported.
Five Bulgarian nurses and one Palestinian dotor were accused of the deliberate HIV infection of more than 400 children in a hospital in Benghazi, Libya.
The Libyan lawyer of the Bulgarians Osman Bizanti failed to appear before the court, which led to the delay, Darik said. He was hospitalised suffering of high blood pressure.
The court sitting was expected to be the last one of the trial. The trial was put off for October 31 2006, Darik said.
During the previous court session prosecutors presented unseen footage of the search in the house of nurse Kristiana Vulcheva. According to the prosecution the search produced the main evidence in the trial, empty blood banks which supposedly contained infected blood.
