After formally joining the HRG worldwide network, top travel company Jamadvice BTI Bulgaria has re-branded as HRG Bulgaria, with effect from September 1.
HRG is the UK’s Hogg Robinson Group, an international corporate services company with a global network that extends to more than 90 countries.
The re-branding in Bulgaria follows the decision in January this year by the founding shareholders of the BTI bv network - the Hogg Robinson Group and the Netherlands’ BCD Holdings - to follow their own separate strategies.
Like the majority of its European partners, Jamadvice worked closely with HRG since joining the partner network in 2001. Most of the former BTI network outside the Americas are also re-branding to align themselves with HRG.
Mark Thomas, managing director of HRG Bulgaria, said: “Earlier this year, when the two shareholders in BTI decided to pursue their own strategies, we decided to follow Hogg Robinson Group’s value-driven, corporate services approach in the future and become members of the HRG worldwide network.
“The adoption of the HRG philosophy is an exciting step for us, one that we believe will result in added value for our clients and continued success. We are now an integral part of an extensive global organisation, with the ability to offer increased international support for all of our clients, along with an extended range of products, services, markets and technology solutions.”
HRG chief executive David Radcliffe said: “HRG is a client-focused company which has delivered quality services worldwide, for both multinational corporations and smaller national companies. Our 96-strong country network combines our global expertise with local presence and knowledge and is totally committed to providing a comprehensive range of corporate services which add real value to our clients’ corporate travel expenditure.
“Having worked with many of our business partners for several years, I am delighted that the vast majority of them elected to join the HRG worldwide network, and I am especially pleased to formally welcome HRG Bulgaria as they start to adopt the HRG brand,” Radcliffe said.
“We very much look forward to working with Mark Thomas and his colleagues in the future as we continue to enhance the services we are able to provide to our clients around the world,” he said.
Jamadvice HRG Bulgaria, through Thomas, first entered the Bulgarian travel industry in 1992 and quickly evolved to become a leading player in the local market. The company has also played a pivotal role in the development and evolution of the local business travel sector through the following years, playing an instrumental role in the implementation of e-ticketing, the adoption of travel technology and procedures and in the adoption of fee-based remuneration to reflect the modern day role of travel management consultants.
Thomas said that “the adoption of the Hogg Robinson philosophy and their proven global leadership linked to our international expertise and local market knowledge is an excellent recipe for continued success. I am confident that the new structure will further provide opportunities to give added value to our many clients regardless of size.”
