The Transport and Defence Ministries in Bulgaria have agreed on transferring the ownership of Plovdiv Airport.
Transport Minister Petar Moutafchiev is expected to table the proposal at a Cabinet meeting on July 14, Focus news agency reported.
Moutafchiev took part in a seminar on plans for the development of Bulgaria’s railway network from 2007 to 2017. Plovdiv Airport will be owned by the Transport Ministry but could be used for military flights as well.
Plovdiv station area will be given on concession.
A decision has been already taken concerning the inter-modular terminal in Plovdiv. Moutafchiev refused to announce its location.
