TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS IN BULGARIA KILL 14 OVER THE WEEKEND

Major road accidents killed 14 people over the weekend.

Intoxicated drivers and high speed were behind the crashes, Novinar newspaper reported.

An accident on the Bourgas- Varna road killed seven people. Among the victims are three 17-year old students and a family.

Police said that one of the drivers was intoxicated. A British tourist managed to film the accident and tried to call emergency aid.

An earlier accident caused the death of three people. The crash occurred on the Sofia- Varna road. Another incident in Sofia killed well-known radio host Emil Trifonov.

Novinar reported that two more road accidents occurred in Bulgaria killing two other people. A number of passengers were injured seriously and the life of one is still in danger.
