TOURISM SEASON IN BULGARIA SHOULD REACH NINE MONTHS- MASLAROVA

The summer tourism season should be expanded from six to eight or nine months, Labour and Social Policy Minister Emilia Maslarova said.

Most of the resorts already feature spa centres and other facilities that could attract tourists out of the peak months, Maslarova said.

Bulgaria features among the countries having highest number of mineral springs. The resource has not been used to its full potential up till present, Maslarova said.
 
Maslarova took part in the coastal city of Varna in a conference on opportunities for the development of the city into a more attractive tourism destination.

A number of officials among which Regional Development Minister Assen Gagauzov, Interior Minister Roumen Petkov and Transport Minister Petar Moutafchiev will take part in the conference.
