
The biggest investment in Bulgaria's healtchare for the past 17 years, Tokuda hospital, was officially opened on November 28.
Bulgaria's Health Ministry granted the hospital a permit for the carrying out of medical activity, Bulgarian National Radio reported.
Health Minister Radoslav Gaidarski and Energy Minister Roumen Ovcharov attended the opening ceremony the same day.
Tokuda hospital is among the biggest projects of Tokushukai Medical Corporation outside of Japan, the national radio reported.
Investment in the project reached 140 million leva. Tokuda hospital would open 1000 new work places, Gaidarski said.
The hospital features some of the newest technology to be used in Bulgaria and in other Balkan countries, said he.
