Of all the international celebrity concerts in Bulgaria this season, tickets prices for Andrea Bocelli's performance are the highest ones.
Joker Media, organising the event, offers tickets at prices from 80 to 300 leva, 24 Chassa newspaper reported. Company officials said that the high prices were inevitable because of the record cost of the concert.
Apart from the payment Bocelli will receive, concert expenses include provision of first-class stage and equipment. Costs are additionally boosted by the booking of a presidential apartment and the catering for the famous tenor.
To serve the needs of Bocelli, the organisers of the concert hired aircraft with a crew trained especially for the event, which also adds to the tickets' cost. Bocelli's management team also required that the concert hall hosts less than 3 000 people.
Despite the record prices, 24 Chassa survey shows the 300 leva tickets have been sold out, as well as the cheaper ones selling from 80 to 100 leva. Only 200 leva tickets are still available.
Compared to Bocelli's concert, ticket prices for Depeche Mode are shockingly low, 24 Chassa reported. Organisers of the event from Sofia Music Enterprises (SME) said that the concert had many sponsors. SME is part of the Live Nation promoter company, which allowed the organisers to negotiate payment for Depeche Mode 30 per cent lower than the usual one.
The only remaining tickets for the Jennifer Lopez concert cost 80 leva. The concert was scheduled for May 2, but the date was changed to May 23. At first, tickets were offered at lower prices, from 35 to 50 leva. The fact that the concert will take place on the national stadium Vassil Levski and the record payment Lopez will receive added to the tickets' cost.
