Dossier opening committee in Bulgaria unveiled that three former constitutional judges were members of the former State Security intelligence service in Bulgaria.
Georgi Markov, Dimitar Gotchev and Todor Todorov co-operated with the intelligence from 1994 to 2003, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.
Dossier opening committee was formed to open the classified files of the former intelligence service. It first examined the past of Bulgaria's candidates for members of the European Parliament (MEPs).
The committee also examined the past of the candidates for general manager of Bulgarian National Television. Candidates Ulyana Prumova, Nikolay Iotov and Radoslav Glavchev turned out to have clear past.
Ombudsman Ginyo Ganev, former deputy ombudsman Metin Kazak and secretary general of ombudsman's administration Borislav Tsekov also did not work with the intelligence service.
