Following an investigation into the shooting in Sofia’s Belite Brezi residential district on July 11 2007, when two men, a woman and a six-month-old baby were shot, three of the victims would be investigated, National Police Service head Valentin Petrov said.
The three adults would be investigated for drug and weapons possession and use of fake identity documents, Petrov said, as quoted by Focus news agency.
Police examined 14 mobile phones, found on the victims, which turned to be valuable sources of information.
Police were examining the lodgings of the three in Sofia and Plovdiv.
Police rejected media reports that the baby wounded in the shooting was son of the son of Nenad Milenkovic, boss of one of the most powerful criminal organisations in Serbia, the Zemunski clan. The baby was the son of one of the two men also wounded in the shooting.
The two used false identities. A police station in Sofia issued them documents with false identities after they declared that they had lost their documents.
One of the men is wanted by Interpol and has been sentenced for drug trafficking. The second one is wanted in Serbia for drug trafficking. Both were believed to be related to the Zemunski clan, Petrov said.
