Bulgarian subsidiary of the German company Nemetschek, as well as the local Paraflow Communications and Computel, were the three companies that submitted offers for the tender to supply Bulgaria’s state administration with anti-virus software, Computerworld magazine said on October 29.
The deadline for submitting the offers at the Ministry of State Administration and Administrative Reform was October 26. The order to be granted to the successful bidder would be for the supply, introduction and maintenance for a three-year period of a complete solution for protection from viruses, spam, adware, phishing, scareware, spyware and other potentially dangerous applications, as well as for protection from malicious attacks through a personal firewall, Computerworld said.
The protection of electronic mail through a mail gateway should include the prevention of viruses and spam, as well as the possibility to assign rules and policies. The online protection should be managed through a single administrative console and should be operated via a single service agent on the workstations.
The first part of the order would be to supply protective software for 1500 servers and personal defence for 20 000 workstations and e-mail addresses. Each corporate solution would also be accompanied by a free solution for home use. Among the users will be mainly regional and municipal authorities, as well as other administration sections.
When evaluating the tender offers, the price would have 60 per cent weight, followed by the technical parameters with 30 per cent and the candidate’s capacity to supply the solutions and maintain them, with 10 per cent.
