THE signet ring of a Thracian ruler has been found in the Perperikon fortress near Kurdzhali (Southern Bulgaria). The dark bronze ring dates back to the third or fourth century BC. It is broken in two but the best-preserved half shows clearly the features of the Thracian ruler. Experts have not yet established who he was.
