All Sofia roadways on which the city's public transport would run have been cleaned of the snow that fell during the night of January 14 to 15, the press office of Sofia Municipality announced.

Most of the main streets and boulevards have been cleaned as well and the snow-cleaning teams would continue their work, Zagrada.bg said.

Sofia's public transportation was running normally, given the winter conditions.

There are 5 to 10 minutes delays in the schedule of the public transportation vehicles servicing the out-of-city areas.

On the evening of January 14, when snowfall started, Sofia mayor Boiko Borissov had ordered that the work of the concessionaires responsible for the cleaning to be strictly controlled personally by the director of Sofia Inspectorate Galen Ganchev, Focus news agency said.

Borissov himself was to be reported to every half hour on the condition of the roads.
