After mid-March's successful Vinaria exhibition in Plovdiv, the city's international fairground is continuing to host its annual round of events.

From March 29 to April 2 in hall four of the fairground, an exhibition entitled Flower Spring is being held, featuring flowers, ornamental plants, garden equipment and supplies. A total of 57 companies from eight countries, including Greece, the Netherlands and the United States, are participating.

From March 28 to April 2, hall eight is hosting Spring Contracting, which aims to bring together producers, merchants and consumers, and displays women's, men's and youth fashion, children's clothing, knitwear, footwear, accessories, perfumery and cosmetics, souvenirs, and household textiles and utensils.

Between March 29 and April 2, a total of 167 companies from 21 countries are taking part in the Nature, Hunting, Fishing 2006 international exhibition.

The exhibition is being held under the auspices of the Agriculture and Forestry Ministry with the support of the National Forestry Administration.

This year, 96 Bulgarian entities are participating, including private companies and the country's 37 state game-breeding stations. Apart from hunting, fishing and sports equipment being on sale, there will be a public discussion on enabling game reserves in Bulgaria to meet European criteria.

From March 30 to April 2, International Fair - Plovdiv is also hosting an international exhibition focusing on hairdressing, beauty, make-up, perfumery and fashion, organised by Salon International.

The exhibition will include displays of various beauty products, as well as specialised equipment for hairdressers and beauticians.

From April 7 to 9, the International Education Fair is being held, co-organised by the European College of Economics and Management. Participants from foreign countries and from within Bulgaria include the Alliance Francaise and the American University in Bulgaria.

The exhibition programme includes pre-school and primary education, secondary education, higher education, post-graduate qualification and continuous education programmes, educational services and products, and school equipment.

From May 8 to 13, the international Spring Fair is being held, billed by organisers as the "most representative forum of light and food-processing industries".

The Spring Fair has been held every year since 1981. Within the event, there are five specialised exhibitions. These include Cosmetics, Domtech (household appliances and goods, and hotel and restaurant equipment) Foodtech (food products and technologies), Mebeltech (furniture, building materials), and Texmod (textile, clothing, leather goods). During the fair, there will be a "visiting exhibition", entitled the Jewellery Expo, designed to cater to jewellery professionals in Bulgaria.
