Part of the Depeche Mode's technical team will arrive in Sofia on June 15 to construct the stage at Sofia’s Lokomotiv stadium, where the band will perform on June 21.
The team would be in charge of the stage, the sound and the lighting of the stadium, avtora.com said. Depeche Mode will use the services of the 150 people team thoughout the international tour.
The special equipment for the concert includes several six-ton monitors to be placed at the back of the stage. The stage itself is 40 m wide and 18 m high.
Over 30 000 fans of the band would be present at the concert, the organisers of the show, Sofia Music Enterprises, said. Nearly 300 guards would be responsible for security. Volunteers from the Bulgarian Red Cross and first aid teams would also be present.
Because of the strict safety measures, no vehicles will be permitted near the stadium. The fans will enter the stadium through four major checkpoints. As the checkpoints can operate less than 720 people an hour, the organisers will open the stadium at 4pm.
A special VIP entrance would be provided for people with disabilities.
