Representatives of Switzerland and the EU held a second round of negotiations on amendments in the agreement for free movement of their citizens.
The negotiations included the movement of citizens of Bulgaria and Romania, which entered the union on January 1 2007, Romanian newspaper Gandul reported.
Both parties agreed on transition periods.
Restrictions on the Bulgarians and Romanians’ access to the Swiss labour market would remain during these periods, Gandul said.
The next round of negotiations will be held on November 7 2007 in Brussels.
