11:20 Fri 19 Oct 2007

Swiss headlight producer Oscar Ruegg inaugurated on October 18 a factory in Stara Zagora, south Bulgaria, company officials said in a press statement.

The facility is its inaugural investment abroad and is worth 4 million leva.

Part of the financing came from a Swiss investment support fund.

The main buyer of the produce would be a German company, which was to install them on Audis, BMWs and Volvos, Eduard Henney, a factory manager, said as quoted by BTA.

The Stara Zagora factory would have produced 500 000 headlights by the end of the year.

Henney said the factory's construction had run up only a two-week delay, with a budget excess of 0.6 per cent, Henney said.
