Representatives of Swedish companies on to Bulgaria also took part in the event.

Capital flow and human and services traffic were facilitated in connection to Bulgaria’s EU entry. The decrease of corporate tax by up to 10 per cent made the country an attractive investment destination, lecturers said.

The participants of the meeting said that Bulgaria could offer business opportunities to Swedish companies in the spheres of energy, tourism, high technologies, telecommunications, agriculture and construction.

In the first half of 2006 Swedish export to Bulgaria rose by 31 per cent and Bulgaria's import to Sweden increased by 17 per cent, Swedish Trade Council said.
