In 2007, demand for vacation apartments and houses, located in closed-type complexes, stood still and most investors were forced to maintain or even decrease property prices.
The standstill in demand had an inevitable impact on the land property market. In almost all resorts supply of plots exceeded several times the demand, research ordered by investor.bg showed.
Currently, nearly 400 plots were offered for sale in Bansko, accounting for 51 per cent of the total supply in the whole region of Blagoevgrad. Demand was only two per cent. Prices varied between 40 and 200 euro per sq m, depending on the location of the plot.
The situation was the same in the nearby Razlog and Dobrinishte, investor.bg said.
In the Pamporovo winter resort, supply also ‘dramatically’ exceeded supply. Nearly 300 plots were offered for sale at 15 to 150 euro per sq m.
Resort settlements in the region of Varna managed to attract the strongest investors interest of the whole seaside area. There was practically no supply in the resorts of St Konstantin, Sunny Day and Golden Sands. Prices for the few plots offered for sale varied between 250 and 320 euro per sq m.
