Supervising prosecutor in the case against Maxim Staviiski, Ivan Stanev, has been given an administrative disciplinary reprimand for mistakes in the legal classifications in the accusation.
The prosecution office announced that Stanev had been reprimanded for not fulfilling his duties, Focus news agency reported.
Prosecution said the mistakes made by Stanev were material procedural mistakes which damage the interests of those involved in the trial and damaged the name of the prosecution.
On August 5 2007, Staviiski was alleged to have been speeding his Hummer when it collided with the car of the 23 year-old Petar Petrov from Sliven. Petrov died and one of his companions had been taken to hospital in critical condition.
A month later, Staviiski he had been charged with causing a car crash with severe consequences by the prosecution in Bourgas.
Charges mistakenly did not include accusations of death after use of alcohol, the prosecution argued at the court hearing on September 21.
