
Sofia Music Jam 2007 will present to Bulgarian public pianist Chick Corea, banjo player Bela Fleck and Jon Anderson, former lead singer of the UK’s progressive rock band Yes.
Corea and Fleck are the first headliners of the festival. Their concert will be held in Hall 1 in the National palace of Culture on November 6 2007.
Tickets for the show are on sale since October 10 2007 at 30 to 60 leva.
Corea is considered one of the most influential people in contemporary musical history. He has released 67 albums and had won a record-breaking 13 Grammy awards in various categories.
Fleck is a masterly banjo player and is among the most innovative and talented instrumentalists. In the end of 2006, the two musicians released a duet album The Enchantment, which contained six compositions by Corea and four by Fleck.
Former Yes lead singer Jon Anderson is the second headliner of the festival. His concert will be held in Universiada hall on November 14.
Tickets are offered at 25 to 50 leva.
Anderson had worked with musicians like Mark Oldfield and Dream Theatre and had released 10 albums with Vangelis. In Sofia he will perform some of the most famous Yes hits and pieces from his work with Vangelis.
