Sofia mayor Boiko Borissov requested from President Georgi Purvanov evaluation of the work of the Cabinet during its first year in office.
Borissov said that the Cabinet was responsible for some negative developments related to Sofia. Nearly 100 million leva were taken away from the Sofia budget, Borissov said.
Novinar newspaper reported the funds were going to be used for school renovation. Borissov also blamed the Cabinet for failing to include Sofia in its programme for refuse management.
The capital could soon experience new refuse-collection problems if a new storage place was not found, Novinar reported.
President Purvanov already several times stated he was interested in social policies and needed to evaluate the work of the Cabinet, Borissov said.
