Sofia mayor Boiko Borissov, President Georgi Purvanov and Culture Minister Stefan Danailov rank among the most trusted politicians in 2006, a December poll shows.

Borissov gathered slightly higher support than Purvanov, Focus news agency reported.

A number of ministers rank among the 10 most approved politicians. These are Danailov, Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin, Education Minister Daniel Vulchev, Interior Minister Roumen Petkov, Labour Minister Emilia Maslarova and European Integration Minister Meglena Kouneva.

Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev also features among the trusted politicians.

The poll shows that people are unaware of the work and personality of various ministers.

Most ministers maintained previous levels of support. Trust in Disaster Management Minister Emel Etem went down.
