After the biggest short-term fall of the Sofia bourse on December 19, the next morning the indexes made one of the strongest come-backs for the last several months. By the end of the day's session, all indexes showed strong movement, Dnevnik daily said.
The Sofix index, which follows the 16 largest companies on the bourse, was 4.51 per cent higher at 1731.24 points.
The BGTR30 was 4.07 per cent higher at 1081 points, while the Dnevnik20 was 5.48 per cent higher.
Most of the larger companies had increased their indexes by 4 to 8 per cent, while trade volume was slightly over 19 million leva.
Two of the companies who lost most on December 19, Sinergon and IH Bulgaria, increased their share value by 5.25 and 8.88 per cent respectively.
On December 20, most losses from the day before were recovered. The fall on December 19 was triggered by the decision of Alianz pension funds to withdraw from mutual funds, forcing the mutual funds to sell shares.
